Unique piece, "Shell in relief" marquetry.
The veneer was heated to create subtle contrasts and a true sense of depth.
Made primarily of bog oak, this box is enhanced with thin bands of rosewood that define its lines. The maple burl top, meanwhile, highlights the elegantly and precisely sculpted shell.

Why the Cabinetmaker's Box ?
